Congreso mundial de intercambio efectivo entre ciencia y práctica(IPVS) El XVIII Congreso Internacional de Veterinarios Porcinos se presenta como un foro de intercambio de experiencias entre prácticos y científicos. Las preinscripciones sobrepasan todas las expectativas(IPVS) La 18ava edición del Congreso Internacional de Veterinarios Porcinos causa un interés que bate todas las expectativas. A algo más de cuatro meses de la inauguración a finales de Junio en Hamburgo ya se han inscrito más de 1.100 participantes de todo el mundo. La entidad organizadora, la Sociedad Veterinaria de Veterinarios Porcinos (IPVS) ha calculado hasta el momento recibir 1.500 participantes de los campos de la ciencia, la investigación y la práctica. El presidente de la IPVS Henning Bossow valora el número de inscripciones de forma optimista: „Es poco usual que tan pronto ya se hayan inscrito tantos participantes. No se excluye la participación de más compañeros de los que habíamos previsto“. El 15 de febrero se cumplió el plazo final para obtener descuentos por reserva anticipada. |

Pig health instead of pig disease(IPVS) Eradication programmes will form one of the main areas of focus at the world congress of pig vets, which will be held in Germany this year. This topic is addressed by a significant proportion of the international research papers submitted to the congress and which will be presented to the public for the first time at the end of June, reports Thomas G. Blaha, chairman of the congress's scientific committee. The aim of eradication programmes is to prevent pigs from becoming ill at all. "It is gratifying that research around the word is increasingly focusing on keeping animal stocks healthy," says Professor Blaha. This, he continues, is to everyone's advantage: pig breeders, pig farmers and the consumer. The congress will convene under the motto: "Healthy pigs for wholesome pork." |
